From Uganda — the Pearl of Africa — you'll embark on a thrilling 12-day safari across Kenya's top wildlife reserves. You'll journey from the rugged terrains of Samburu National Reserve through Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Lake Nakuru, the legendary Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli National Park, encountering the Big Five and vibrant birdlife throughout. Kenya also offers a compelling overview of East African ecosystems, from dense bushland in the north to the open savannahs of the Mara.

Day 1: Day 1 – Arrival

You'll be collected from the airport by the DIAL-US Tours & Travel guide and transferred to the hotel in Kampala for dinner and overnight as we prepare for the next long journey to Kenya. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.

Day 2: Day 2 – Transfer to Kenya from Kampala

After having breakfast at the lodge, travel from Kampala to Nairobi — a roughly 634 km journey that takes 13 to 17 hours as you enjoy the beautiful nature of East Africa. Upon reaching Nairobi City, transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Day 3 – Into the Wild: Welcome to the Wilderness of Samburu National Reserve

Your safari begins after breakfast at the hotel, with pickup from Nairobi and a scenic journey north into the dramatic landscapes of Samburu National Park. As the terrain becomes more rugged and remote, you'll arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and a relaxing break. In the afternoon, head out on your first game drive, where the Ewaso Nyiro River attracts an abundance of wildlife. Samburu is famous for its rare northern species, including Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, and the elegant gerenuk. The following day features both morning and afternoon game drives.

Day 4: Day 4 – Wildlife Protection & Rare Encounters: Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Travel south to the renowned Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a leader in wildlife conservation and one of Kenya's most impactful protected areas. Your visit begins at the rhino sanctuary, where you'll learn about vital conservation efforts while observing these incredible animals in a protected environment. After checking in to your lodge for lunch and rest, the afternoon continues with a visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary — an inspiring and educational experience unique to this region. A guided game drive follows, offering opportunities to spot lions, elephants, buffalo, and plains game across Ol Pejeta's wide, open landscapes.

Day 5: Day 5 – Waterfalls, Forests & Flamingos: Lake Nakuru National Park

Departing Ol Pejeta, you travel through the scenic Rift Valley with a stop at the dramatic Thomson's Falls overlook, where cascading water plunges into a lush gorge. From here, continue on to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving at your lodge in time for lunch. Later, enjoy a game drive through this compact but wildlife-rich park, well known for its rhino population and vibrant birdlife. Forested areas, open grasslands, and the lake's shoreline create a varied backdrop as you search for both black and white rhinos, Rothschild's giraffes, and a wide array of bird species.

Day 6: Days 6–7 – To the Legendary Masai Mara

The journey continues toward the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve, where sweeping savannahs stretch as far as the eye can see. Arrive by lunchtime, check into your lodge, and enjoy a brief rest before heading out for your first afternoon game drive in this world-famous reserve. The following day is dedicated to immersive exploration with both morning and afternoon game drives. This is prime Big Five territory, offering excellent chances to witness predator-prey interactions, large herds of plains wildlife, and the classic safari moments that have made the Masai Mara one of Africa's most celebrated destinations.

Day 7: Day 8 – Lake Safari at Lake Naivasha

Leaving the Mara behind, you descend into the Rift Valley and arrive at Lake Naivasha in time for lunch and a relaxing afternoon at your lodge. The peaceful setting offers a refreshing change of pace, with lush surroundings and abundant birdlife along the lake's shores. Later in the day, enjoy a scenic boat safari across the lake, gliding past hippos and water birds before landing on Crescent Island. Here, you'll take part in a guided walking safari, strolling among giraffes, zebras, and antelope for an up-close and unforgettable wildlife experience on foot.

Day 8: Days 9–10 – To the Shadows of Kilimanjaro: Amboseli National Park

Your safari continues south to Amboseli National Park, arriving at your lodge for lunch with iconic views often framed by Mount Kilimanjaro. After some time to rest, set out on an afternoon game drive across Amboseli's open plains and seasonal wetlands. The following day includes both morning and afternoon game drives, offering outstanding opportunities to observe Amboseli's famous elephant herds at close range. With wide-open landscapes and dramatic mountain backdrops, this region delivers some of Kenya's most striking and memorable safari photography.

Day 9: Days 11–12 – Farewell to Africa

After breakfast, depart Amboseli and enjoy a relaxed drive back to Nairobi, arriving around midday. You'll be dropped off at your hotel for dinner and overnight. The following day, check out of the hotel, have breakfast, and be transferred directly to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi — marking the conclusion of a beautifully paced and unforgettable journey through Kenya's most iconic safari regions.
